House Sirellan

They came with empty pockets and full sails—gamblers, poets, debtors, and dreamers. Some were fleeing war. Others, wives. But all of them hungered for something new.
The Gilded Isles began as scattered coves and smugglers’ dens. But through wit, daring, and luck, they formed a mercantile confederacy led eventually by House Sirellan. Their capital, Silkport, became a jewel of trade and indulgence.

GOLD AND GLORY

The First Men were the earliest humans to set foot upon Westara after fleeing elven enslavement in Elaron, and among their foremost leaders were the forebears of House Hamundr, who carved their legacy into the North.

ALBERT SIRELLAN

Albert Sirellan was born into wealth, and he never pretended otherwise. The Gilded Isles had
long been a seat of prosperity before his time—its ports teeming with ships, its markets alive
with color and coin. What Albert inherited was not a crumbling legacy in need of saving, but a
well-oiled machine that required a steady hand. And that, more than anything, is what he’s
known for.
He did not reshape the Isles with sweeping reforms or brilliant campaigns. He refined them. He
elevated their elegance, tightened their trade networks, and added layers of polish and pageantry
that drew nobles from across the world. Where his father ruled with quiet industry, Albert rules
with presentation—turning luxury into spectacle, and diplomacy into performance.
Though charismatic and easy to underestimate, Albert is no fool. He knows his strengths, and he
surrounds himself with those who fill his blind spots. His cunning lies in restraint, his victories in
subtlety. People call him The Smiling Vulture—not for malice, but for his unshakable patience.
He doesn't tear things down. He waits for the right moment to collect what others leave behind.
His marriage to Thariel is one of convenience and calculation, but it's not cold. They understand
each other. Together, they keep the Isles gleaming. Not through heroics. Through steadiness.
And sometimes, that’s all a kingdom needs.

Thariel Sirellan.png

THARIEL SIRELLAN

Lady Thariel Sirellan is a woman of whispered myths and perfumed shadows. They say she once
held court not in a palace, but in a pleasure parlor—entertaining merchants, lords, and scholars
alike with wit as sharp as a dagger’s edge. Whatever the truth, she has long since transcended
rumor to become a defining force in the Gilded Isles.
Though she is no warrior, her arsenal lies in secrets, smiles, and seduction. Thariel never raises
her voice above a silken whisper, yet it is said she can quiet a room with a glance and unravel a
court with a question. Where Albert Sirellan commands coin, Thariel commands people—
leveraging personal debts, buried truths, and broken hearts to shape the realm subtly but
thoroughly.
To the nobles of Westara, she is a polite guest and a dangerous rival. To the denizens of the Isles,
she is the soul of splendor—respected, adored, and feared in equal measure. It is whispered that
no major courtship, deal, or betrayal occurs in the isles without her knowing. And if someone
claims otherwise… it’s likely she let them believe it.

Serentis Sirellan.png

Serentis Sirellan is the heir not merely to a house of riches—but to a legacy of whispers, veiled threats, and deals made in candlelit corners. Where his father smiles to disarm and his mother whispers to dominate, Serentis speaks rarely, and only when the room has already bent to his silence.

Born in velvet and raised behind marble walls, Serentis learned courtcraft not from books, but from watching men lie and die by their words. Tutors taught him to duel, debate, and decipher double-meaning. His mother taught him when to disappear and when to listen. His father taught him how to make someone feel like a friend while cutting their legs out from under them.

He is always dressed precisely, never flamboyant. His stiletto, Silvertongue, is never on display—but it's always there, hidden like the venom behind his smile. It's said he has eyes and ears in half the noble houses of Westara. What he knows, he doesn't say. What he plans, he doesn’t show.

Some call him a prodigy of espionage and charm. Others wonder what he is keeping hidden—even from his own family.

SERENTIS SIRELLAN

Callan Sirellan (display).png

Callan Sirellan is the second son of Lord Albert Sirellan, and an open wound on an otherwise refined house. Where his older brother Serentis is sharp and poised, Callan is a walking scandal. He haunts the glimmering dens of Dravelle and Velmont, known as much for his indulgent excess as his uncanny knack for losing fortunes. His most infamous moment came when he bet and lost an entire vault of gold in a single night, forever earning the nickname Callan the Crushed.

Despite his failings, Callan is kept out of the public political eye—not due to exile, but because his father refuses to abandon him. Albert Sirellan’s patience, however, is rumored to be fraying. Callan still receives gold to maintain appearances, but more and more eyes in the Gilded Isles wonder when the leash will be cut.

Despite it all, Callan is not entirely without merit. There are whispers—quiet ones—that he knows things he shouldn’t. That his drunkenness masks a sharp wit, and that in the right moment, even a fool might play a pivotal role.

CALLAN SIRELLAN

SYRELLA SIRELLAN

Eliphera Sirellan.png

ELIPHERA SIRELLAN

Syrella Sirellan is the glittering scandal of the Gilded Isles, equal parts siren and spy. The second daughter of House Sirellan, she wears her allure like armor—every smile calculated, every touch meaningful. Syrella moves through courts, ship decks, and pleasure dens with the grace of a dancer and the cunning of a whisper broker. No one can say who her lovers truly are, but everyone knows someone who claims to be.

She is more than flirt and fragrance, however. Beneath the silk lies a keen mind—one trained to see through lies and find the softest point to strike. While Serentis plots in quiet corridors, Sylera dances through danger in the open, weaving secrets into her father's network one bedpost at a time.

Whispers say she keeps a ledger of every noble indiscretion, stashed away in the vaults of Silkport. She wears lovers’ trinkets like trophies, and once, she sent a scented handkerchief to a jilted baron bearing only four words: “You should know better.”

Sylera is beautiful, yes—but she is not to be underestimated. Roses have thorns, and hers are venom-tipped.

Eliphira Sirellan is the shadow at the edge of the candlelight. Born on a blood moon, she entered the world without a cry. Not a scream, not a whimper—just opened her eyes, cold and alert, as if remembering a secret no child should know. The maids still speak of it, in whispers behind closed doors.

Unlike her siblings, Eliphira is rarely seen in the daylight hours. She prefers twilight studies and moonlit corridors, her presence often unnoticed until it's far too close. Her tutors claim she’s brilliant, but unnerving. Animals avoid her. Servants flinch when she enters a room. One claims to have seen her talking to a mirror. Another swears they saw a familiar vanish into her sleeve.

She has no official nickname, but the staff in Silkport have coined many: The Silent Thorn, The Girl with No Shadow, Mistress Moon. None say them when she’s near.

There are rumors, of course. Pets gone missing. Servants too afraid to speak. One incident involved a dish shattered on the stone floor. The servant wept in terror... Eliphira simply smiled and watched.

Whether she’s truly dangerous or merely the product of a house steeped in secrets, no one can say. But one thing is certain: when the storms gather over Elaros, Eliphira Sirellan will not be afraid to walk into the dark—and she might already know the way.

Great Powers

the red ledger_edited.jpg

The Red Ledger is whispered of in hushed corners of Elaros, a tome of unparalleled infamy. Bound in aged crimson leather, it is said to hold the sum of the world's hidden truths: every debt of honor unpaid, every scandal masked by gilded words, every vulnerability concealed behind a noble crest. The ledger is not omniscient, but it is near enough that the mere rumor of its pages can break the proudest lord. Updated in secret by sworn keepers of House Sirellan, it is the unseen blade wielded by the Gilded Isles. The book’s presence is felt in every negotiation, every alliance, and every betrayal. It sits in a vaulted chamber, waiting, for only those who know the cost of its secrets are allowed to gaze upon it.
