House Fairwyn
House Fairwyn of Greenmere is the realm’s master of horse and field — a house of red-haired riders whose grace in peace and ferocity in war have made them the quiet strength behind Westara’s cavalry might, ever moving with patience, precision, and purpose.

Friends of Elvenkind
It has long been said that the Fairwyns ride farther than their borders require. Their caravans travel often to the foreign coasts, and their banners have been sighted beneath elven sails more times than coincidence would allow.
BIOS

CELESTINE FAIRWYN
Lady Celestine Fairwyn is a figure carved from moonlight and old magic. Her presence carries
the gravity of still water—reflective, deep, and difficult to read. As the matriarch of House
Fairwyn, she governs with grace rather than force, allowing silence and poise to speak louder
than proclamations ever could.
Her voice, when it is heard, is soft and measured—woven with wisdom and conviction. Though
she is rarely seen outside the emerald fields and meadows of Greenmere, when she arrives at
high court, even lords accustomed to bellowing fall quiet. She watches, she waits, and when the
time is right, she moves.
Her marriage to Damion Virelan once promised the unity of sea and plain. It ended quietly,
tragically—and the whispers that followed have never stopped. Some say she had him killed,
others that she simply outlasted him. What is known is that she never remarried, and never
bowed again.
Celestine is often draped in airy silks and rich velvets, with a single violet brooch pinned at her
collar—the Fairwyn sigil. On her finger, the ring Evershade, a magical heirloom said to shroud
her from unwanted eyes and tongues. She bears it not as a weapon, but as a ward.
Among her daughters, she is seen as both mother and mystery. Among the realm, she is
remembered long after she has left the room.

VIVIANNE FAIRWYN
Vivienne Fairwyn is the whispered warning in every noble’s wine glass. Elegant, seductive, and
endlessly elusive, she slithers through the realm’s elite circles with grace unmatched. Her
presence at events is never requested—yet always felt. She attends only the most pivotal affairs,
always dressed in silks that shimmer like moonlight, her lips painted the color of secrets. Despite
her claims of neutrality, few believe she doesn’t pull strings from behind the curtain. Some
suspect she was once betrothed to a powerful mage from Elarithil; others say she was born of a
witch’s blood and a nobleman's indiscretion.
What’s certain is this: Vivienne doesn’t age. Her skin remains flawless, her step never falters,
and her gaze is that of a woman who’s seen far too much. Wherever she appears, power shifts
subtly. Lovers fight. Alliances tremble. And Vivienne? She merely sips her wine and smiles.
In Greenmere, they call her the Velvet Viper. In Westara, they call her the Unseen Flame. But no
matter the name, none dare cross her.
And none truly know her.

ALARYS FAIRWYN
Alary’s Fairwyn has always drawn attention—not by force of volume, but through the gravity of
presence. The eldest daughter of Celestine Fairwyn, she inherited not only her mother’s striking
beauty and mystical charm, but also her cunning mind. With a voice that soothes and a gaze that
sees more than it should, Alary’s has been groomed since girlhood to one day lead.
She is often referred to in Greenmere as “the Ember Rose”—a blend of warmth, grace, and
potential fire beneath the surface. While her younger sisters rode horses or defied curfew,
Alary’s was seated beside her mother at council meetings, taught to listen before she spoke, and
trained in courtly performance as much as political strategy.
Though she maintains a spotless public image, it’s widely believed she is already involved in
delicate negotiations with an elven noble house. The potential match remains unspoken in court,
but Alary’s has spent long periods of time abroad—each return more refined than the last.
She is not naïve. She knows the realm will descend into chaos should the king fall without an
heir. And though she speaks softly, her words have already begun to ripple through the noble
courts of Westara.

SERAH FAIRWYN
Serah Fairwyn rides at dawn. Whether through the dew-laced fields of Greenmere or across the
tournament grounds of Westara, she is rarely seen without her steed or her spear. As the first
female commander of the Greenmere Valkyries in three generations, Serah has carved her place
in history with grit rather than grandeur.
Unlike her sisters, Serah has no patience for the subtleties of court. She speaks with purpose,
moves with precision, and leads with a quiet strength that inspires both loyalty and fear. Where
her sister Alary’s disarms with charm, Serah does so with poise and steel.
Her lance, Dawnspear, is not only a symbol of her command—it’s a family relic, reforged in her
name when she was appointed commander at the age of nineteen. It gleams like new even in
battle, etched with runes said to ward against misfortune.
While she rarely speaks of her personal life, whispers trail her like a shadow. Some say she has
grown close—too close—to a fellow Valkyrie lieutenant. Others say her heart has long belonged
to someone outside her station.
None say it to her face.

NERISSE FAIRWYN
Nerisse Fairwyn was never quite like the others.
Even among the storied blood of Greenmere, known for their connection to nature and the
arcane, Nerisse walks a stranger path. When she was only eight, she wandered into the woods
one spring morning and vanished. Search parties combed the countryside, dogs howled, and her
mother wept beneath a willow tree. Three days later, Nerisse emerged barefoot and humming
from the forest, her hair tangled with ivy, her dress torn—but her eyes calm.
She never said where she had gone.
Since then, Nerisse has seen the world in colors others cannot. She speaks to trees as if they
might answer. She collects moss and feathers for rituals she won't explain. Her fingers are often
stained with paints, and her room is cluttered with half-finished murals of strange beasts and
symbols no one recognizes.
Though sweet and soft-spoken, there's an eerie stillness to Nerisse that unsettles some. Rumors
swirl of fae-blood in her veins, or that she was "touched" during her time away. But her family
protects her fiercely, and she remains beloved in Greenmere—even if she’s often watched out of
the corner of the eye.
They call her The Wild Rose, not for her beauty alone, but for the thorns no one sees… until
they bleed.

LYSETTE FAIRWYN
Lysette Fairwyn is the youngest bloom on the Fairwyn vine, and perhaps the most mysterious.
Born during a rare lunar eclipse, midwives claimed she didn’t cry upon birth—only blinked,
stared, and smiled.
Quiet, clever, and often overlooked, Lysette has a strange effect on animals—particularly birds.
Ravens perch outside her window when she sings. Swans glide toward her across the lakes of
Greenmere. Housekeepers swear they’ve seen her whisper to crows, only for them to fly off in
formation moments later.
While other girls play with dolls, Lysette collects feathers, paints prophetic symbols she doesn’t
understand, and wanders the rose gardens speaking to creatures no one else can see. Despite her
age, she often finishes others' sentences and sometimes knows things she shouldn’t—like where
lost things are or when guests are about to arrive.
Lady Celestine has issued a quiet but strict decree: no divination is to be used on or near
Lysette. No visions, no scrying, no reading of threads. Scholars speculate that Celestine once
tried, and what she saw changed her forever.
Those who’ve met the girl rarely forget her eyes—deep, knowing, and old.
They call her The Talking Rose, but some suspect the name is far too gentle for what she truly
is becoming.

Great Powers

The Stag Lord is the most elusive of the Great Beasts of Elaros — a towering, silver-antlered presence that manifests like mist given form. Some claim it walks half within this world and half beyond it, its hooves touching earth only when the blood of House Fairwyn calls it forth.
It is not remembered for slaughter. No chronicle records it trampling ranks or goring kings. Instead, its power is stranger. When it appears upon the field, the air sharpens. Horses cease their fear. Riders straighten in their saddles. Weariness lifts. Doubt falters.
Under its antlers, cavalry charges break lines that should not break. Retreats turn to advances. Impossible distances are ridden without exhaustion.
The Stag Lord does not wage war.
It inspires it.
And like House Fairwyn itself, it is spoken of far more than it is ever seen.
