About

The Hollow Peaks rise like jagged crowns of stone against the sky, their depths carved by generations of dwarven hands. Within these mountains stands Grimreach, the ancestral stronghold of a people defined by craft, endurance, and pride. The dwarves are reclusive by nature, slow to trust outsiders but fiercely loyal to their own, measuring worth not in words but in work. Their forges are legendary throughout Elaros, producing arms, armor, and marvels of engineering unmatched in quality and durability. A dwarf does not labor for glory in his own lifetime — he labors to leave behind something that will outlast him. In the Hollow Peaks, legacy is hammered into steel, and greatness is built one patient strike at a time.

Landmarks

Grimreach

Ancestral Seat of
House Stoneheath
The Mountain with a Heartbeat

Grimreach stands carved into the sheer face of the Hollow Peaks — a fortress not built upon the mountain, but driven into its very heart. Founded by Thraün Stonehearth with the first strike of Forgebreaker, its towering gates and deep halls glow with the amber light of forges that have burned for centuries. Colossal pillars, vaulted stone corridors, and the legendary Amber Forge form the spine of a city shaped by hammer and will. Here, every wall bears the mark of generational craftsmanship, every chamber echoes with the rhythm of labor. Grimreach is more than a dwarven stronghold — it is a monument to unity, endurance, and the unbreakable belief that through stone and steel, the world itself can be shaped.

Lake Rune

Magical Lake in the Wildwood
Mystical Enchanting Waters

Lake Rune lies like a silver mirror in the heart of the Wildwood, just south of the mountains that cradle Grimreach. Perpetually veiled in drifting mist, its waters are unnaturally still, as though listening. It is whispered that if a traveler places an object upon its surface with true intention, there exists a rare and divine chance the gods may bless it with latent magic. Such rumors draw pilgrims, opportunists, and desperate souls from across Elaros. Yet few complete the journey. The Wildwood is lawless, prowled by hardened bandit clans who prey upon would-be supplicants — a consequence of the dwarves’ indifference to lands beyond their stone gates. At Lake Rune, hope and peril share the same quiet shoreline.

Karnstead

Essential Dwarven Trading Hub
Town where the small live it large

Karnstead stands along the Gulf of Westara as the dwarves’ vital lifeline to the outside world — a bustling port town through which nearly eighty percent of Grimreach’s food and essential supplies flow. If Grimreach is the heart of dwarven craft, Karnstead is its stomach and purse. Merchant dwarves here have grown exceptionally wealthy, turning trade profits into lavish taverns, thriving markets, and no shortage of indulgent establishments. Unlike the solemn grandeur of the mountain halls, Karnstead is loud, prosperous, and unapologetically alive. It is the place where smaller folk live large — where coin flows freely, barrels are never empty, and ambition is measured not in stone, but in ships and ledgers.
