Testimony

“I wasn’t meant for the Sanctum — they made that clear. But I saw a girl fold lightning into her palm like silk and a man redraw the night sky with a gesture. I may have failed their trials… but I will never forget what I witnessed.”
— Gregor Marewild, Former Initiate of the Silver Spires

About

The Silver Spires rise like jagged crowns of pale stone where the mountains thrust upward from the waters of the Sundering Sea, their peaks catching light like polished steel. Perched among these heights stands the Weave Sanctum — an ancient seat of arcane mastery whose true founding is lost to history. For centuries, it has drawn the realm’s most gifted minds to study the Weave in disciplined, pristine halls carved from cliff and crystal. The territory of the Spires has expanded and contracted over time, shaped by magical experiments, calamities, and events few dare to fully record. Yet one truth endures: those who journey to the Silver Spires do not return unchanged. In that place of storm and stone, reality itself feels thinner — and the boundaries of belief are tested.

Landmarks

The Weave Sanctum

The University of Magic
Fosters Masters of The Universe

The Weave Sanctum stands carved into the sheer heights of the Silver Spires, a citadel of pale stone and crystalline towers that seem to pierce the sky itself. Suspended between mountain and sea, its halls hum faintly with restrained arcane energy, as if the air remembers every spell ever cast within its walls. Vast libraries spiral upward through vaulted chambers, observatories crown the highest terraces, and rune-etched corridors glow softly in the twilight of perpetual study. Discipline defines the Sanctum — magic here is not wild spectacle but refined, measured, and mastered through relentless scholarship. For generations, it has been the pinnacle of arcane education in Elaros, drawing the brightest minds from across the realm. Within its walls, knowledge is sacred, power is earned, and the mysteries of the Weave are pursued with reverence bordering on obsession.

Scrollcrest

Lesser College of Magic
School for the Magically Capable

Scrollcrest sits along the lower ridges of the Silver Spires, a far more accessible institution than the revered Weave Sanctum above. Where the Sanctum refines prodigies, Scrollcrest educates the capable — offering structured arcane schooling to those with talent but without pedigree or rare brilliance. Its lecture halls are lively, its courtyards crowded, and its towers less austere, buzzing with experimentation that is sometimes ambitious and sometimes reckless. Known across the realm as something of a “party school,” Scrollcrest blends scholarship with youthful excess, where spellcraft and celebration often share the same night. Yet beneath the laughter and lanternlight, real mages are forged — not legendary, perhaps, but competent, practical, and ready to make their mark beyond the Spires.

The Moonshade

Small Forest of Uncanny Magic
The Pines that hold Secrets

Moonshade is a small, shadowed forest clinging to the northernmost island of the Silver Spires — modest in size, yet vast in rumor. Perpetually dim beneath a pale, silvery canopy, its air feels charged, as though the Weave itself lingers too long between the trees. Travelers speak of sudden magical surges, distorted wildlife, and encounters with creatures that seem only half-bound to this world. Whispers persist of clandestine experiments conducted beyond the reach of the Sanctum’s formal oversight, though none have ever been proven. Moonshade offers no clear answers — only unease, flickers of impossible light, and the quiet sense that something there is still unfolding.
